October 23, 2019 – FISITA, the international membership organization for the automotive and mobility systems engineering profession, has selected Roger Ordman, Executive Vice President at Aurora Labs, based in Tel Aviv, as a New Technology Advisor, helping to welcome ‘non-traditional’ companies to its established membership community.

FISITA Corporate Members include some of the world’s leading mobility and technology companies – senior executives from these companies, including BMW Group, Daimler, FCA, Ford, Renault, Toyota and SAIC, work to develop safe, sustainable and affordable mobility solutions and promote the professional development of industry engineers across the globe.

Ordman has spent more than a decade bringing new technologies to the automotive market, working closely with manufacturers as the industry transitions to become increasingly software-driven, guided by new revenue streams. As part of his role, Ordman will be key in connecting Israeli-based startups to global automotive companies.

“FISITA is delighted to welcome Roger as a New Technology Advisor. As the automotive industry continues to evolve and innovate through connected and autonomous functionality and mobile services, Roger is well-positioned to bring an understanding of what is needed to ensure vehicles of the future are safe, secure and trustworthy,” said Chris Mason, FISITA CEO. “In addition, Roger will help ensure startups based in Israel have a platform to present new technological innovations to senior engineering executives and major global automotive industry stakeholders.”

Aurora Labs is pioneering Self-Healing Software for connected cars to enable automotive manufacturers to proactively respond to future vehicle software architectures, processes, and services. The company delivers solutions that enable automotive manufacturers to monitor software health by detecting, fixing and updating software bugs and anomalies, while also validating which lines-of-code have been altered in support of required homologation.

“I am honored to have been appointed as a New Technology Advisor as part of FISITA’s significant new membership offering. Coordination between large multinationals and innovative startups is of the utmost importance to ensure automotive companies have insight into what new solutions are available, get ahead of the curve, and successfully innovate. The automotive market is a great place to be right now and making sure large companies and startups are able to communicate and cooperate is an exciting challenge. It is a privilege to be part of FISITA, a well-recognized and established organization with decades of experience advancing automotive technology development,” said Ordman.

About Aurora Labs

Aurora Labs is pioneering Self-Healing Software for connected cars to enable automotive manufacturers to proactively support future vehicle software architectures, processes, and services.
